Our Vision

SIX STONES (1 Peter 2:1-17)

We will be…

Sincere.

Our culture of being gut-level real will continue to be a strong and defining hallmark of our ministry and a draw those who are sincere about knowing and growing in Christ.

2:1So get rid of all malicious behavior and deceit. Don’t just pretend to be good! Be done with hypocrisy and jealousy and backstabbing. 2You must crave pure spiritual milk so that you can grow into the fullness of your salvation. Cry out for this nourishment as a baby cries for milk, 3now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. 1 Peter 2:1-3 (NLT) - 1 Peter 2:1-3

Transcontinental.

We will not ignore the pressing needs of our times throughout the world. Our church will have a significant and practical impact to alleviate the world’s suffering in the name of Jesus Christ while spreading the Gospel.

4Come to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by the people, but he is precious to God who chose him. 5And now God is building you, as living stones, into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are God’s holy priests, who offer the spiritual sacrifices that please him because of
Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4-5 (NLT)
- 1 Peter 2:4-5

Open-armed.

Our church will be open to the rejected, hurting, broken, defeated, and marginalized of society as we all humbly seek God

10″Once you were not a people; now you are the people of God. Once you received none of God’s mercy;
now you have received his mercy.” 1 Peter 2:10 (NLT)
- 1 Peter 2:10

Notable.

Lives that are truly touched by Christ and transformed by His grace will produce a natural influence for Him through our fellowship. People will take note of us because we have been with the Lord.

9But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are a kingdom of priests, God’s holy nation, his very own possession. This is so you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 (NLT) - 1 Peter 2:9

Engaged.

We will make our finances, staff, programs, and physical resources available for the community in order to promote the love of Jesus.

11Dear brothers and sisters, you are foreigners and aliens here. So I warn you to keep away from evil de-sires because they fight against your very souls. 12Be careful how you live among your unbelieving neighbors. Even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will believe and give honor to God when he comes to judge the world. 1 Peter 2:11-12 (NLT) - 1 Peter 2:11-12
15It is God’s will that your good lives should silence those who make foolish accusations against you. 1 Peter 2:15 (NLT) - 1 Peter 2:15

Supportive.

We will be a church that will contribute significantly to the Kingdom of God through other churches, de-nominations, ethnicities, and associations of like-minded believers seeking to honor Christ.

17Show respect for everyone. Love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God. Show respect for the king. 1 Peter 2:17 (NLT) - 1 Peter 2:17
