Re-Defining Victory | Re-Definiendo Victoria

Around our church we have a couple of wooden street signs to let you all know where we are.  This past weekend our signs took a beating, and survived.  We had a huge thunderstorm coming through, and our signs were out there through the wind, the rain, and the lightning.  When I found out our signs were ok, a thought came to my mind.  They were built to endure... When it comes to declaring victory or defeat, we are experts at declaring defeat.  The moment we face the thunder storms of life, we immediately relate it to failure. But God has a different idea. Over the 20 years ...

Influence or Influenced | Influencia o Influenciado

Like it or not, admit it or not, there are one of two effects to ALL relationships. We are either Influence or Influenced. That’s why, there is a type of relationship that God Himself is warning us against. Not that we should stay away from these relationships, but He’s warning us NOT to be UNDER their influence. Psalm 1:1 (HCSB) How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked or take the path of sinners or join a group of mockers! Keep On Trusting | Sigue Confiando

This week I found myself driving in Downtown Chicago and then drove from Chicago to Rockford, IL.  I've never done this, and by myself, all I had with me was the GPS on my phone.  If my GPS said "turn left", I turned left. If my GPS said "turn right", that exactly what I did.  I had to completely TRUST that it will get me to my destination. In life, inevitably we will go through places we have never visited before. Pregnancy, Child Bearing, Surgery, Cancer, Legal Issues, Divorce, you name it.  We need to have a GPS worthy of our trust.  The Reason we fear, is because of the unknown.  We have ...

Productive Afflictions? | Aflicciones Productivas?

I am very happy to be back after a week of vacation with my family.  Yesterday as we boarded the plane, I sat on my seat and dropped the case holding my credit card, Drivers License, etc.  Spent a good part of last night calling credit card companies canceling and re-issuing new ones.  Tomorrow I have to get a new DL. But I'm HAPPY to be back and I can't wait to preach at beloved Stonemill Church Atlanta. If you know just a little about the Bible, you probably know or have heard that the Gospel msg is powerful.  It has power to transform lives, it has transformed mine in an incredible way. ...

Be Patient and NOT to Panic

As I was praying with my team before service last Sunday, we were saying that God WANTS us to be Patient and NOT to Panic.Almost every week we are working with families who are going through difficult situations in their family life, jobs, finances, etc.  Life is very difficult out there, and on top of that we hear in the news terrible things, for example, last night we had yet again another shooting at a movie theater.  Innocent people died in what it is considered one of the safest places ever, at the movies. As we experience these life changing events, I encourage you NOT to go through life alone. ...
